US Cable Companies Dominate Broadband Gains in Q2 2018
New research from Leichtman Research Group, Inc. shows that of 97.1 million US broadband subscribers, top cable companies account for 62.9 million subscribers while top telephone companies account for 34.2 million.
Top cable companies added about 585,000 subscribers in Q2 2018, a jump from the reported 465,000 added subscriptions in Q2 2017.
Top telephone companies lost nearly 130,000 subscribers in Q2 2018, a far lower net loss than in Q2 2017 (230,000) , but continuing the trend from the previous nine quarters.
