Parks Associates: One in Six US Broadband Households Own a Smart Watch
Data from a recent Parks Associates research study shows that one in six US broadband households owns a smart watch, suggesting strong product category growth through 2018. Additionally, the study reveals that about 66% of smart watch owners use them daily.
Smart watch users considered four key things when purchasing a smart watch: long battery life, easy functionality, activity tracking, water resistant and GPS capability. Fitness trackers are also expected to experience growth thanks to newer multifunctional designs and more sophisticated sensors.
