Half of US Households are Willing to Adjust their Energy Consumption
49% US broadband households would consider adjusting their light consumption during peak energy periods, according to research from Parks Associates. Only 29% would allow a utility company to automatically make adjustments to their light consumption, showing that consumers don’t like the idea of someone controlling their household devices.
According to Parks, smart home solutions create an opportunity for energy providers to build stronger relationships and trust with their customers. This, in turn, would allow them to save energy without an inconvenience to customers.
This data will be shared at Parks Associates’ annual Smart Energy Summit that discusses smart energy and control solutions.
