25% of US Households Plan to Buy a Smart Video Doorbell in 2019
US broadband households are continuing the trend of purchasing connected home devices. According to research from Parks Associates, 25% of US broadband households have intentions to buy a smart video doorbell within the year. The array of smart home devices lends to industry wide cooperation as well as strategic initiatives.

Parks Associates discussed these findings along with strategies to drive adoption and improve user experience at their 13th annual CONNECTIONS Summit: Consumer IoT and Smart Home.
Additional findings include:
- 68% of consumers are concerned about the privacy and security of IoT devices.
- 48% of consumers have held off on buying an IoT devices because of their concerns about privacy and security.
